This position will be responsible to provide Project Management and capable technical duties to support the management of strategically important Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), Construction, Maintenance and/or Integration projects.

Job Duties:

  • Responsible to provide project management and senior technical leadership to support the management of project outcomes in accordance with contract scope, schedule, budget and contract terms
  • Support building and maintaining good customer relationships and high customer satisfaction
  • Support business development activities including opportunity identification, qualification, bid/proposal development, pricing and capture
  • Review bid and proposal requirements and specifications and assist in the development of technical proposal responses including estimates of technical development and integration including material and subcontract content
  • Support business development activities on-site including demonstrations, customer training, and oral interviews
  • Lead the development of technical solutions for systems projects and prepare and/or review technical deliverables
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in a related field with 5+ years of experience
  • Must have project management experience, knowledge of project management principles and practices; PMP Certification preferred
  • Technical competence in system engineering principle, networks and practices
  • Ability to work as part of a cooperative team
  • Highly motivated, energetic and self-disciplined
  • Working knowledge of transportation and specifically, arterial traffic signal management
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications including office automation and project
  • management tools

Econolite Anaheim office is currently seeking a Traffic Timing Engineer. This position will function in Systems Integration and will have primary responsibility for signal timing engineering on standalone projects and on larger delivery projects. The candidate will also be required to assist in project delivery on engineering duties and assisting Project Mangers. The expectation is that this position has a utilization rate of 85% in full production mode.

Job Duties:

  • Able to read signal timing plans from multiple controller software
  • Thorough knowledge of the California Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (CA MUTCD)
  • Experience with designing traffic signal design plans for multiple agencies
  • Ability to perform field reviews on-site to document ITS equipment and verify signal timing conditions without guidance
  • Willing to perform work in a group environment
  • Ability to manage signal timing projects in a timely manner and within project budget with minimal guidance
  • Ability to document existing signal timing conditions for TSSP projects 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • EIT or Professional Engineering License in California
  • 3+ years of professional traffic signal design experience
  • Proficiency in Synchro 9 or newer
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD 2020 or MicroStation V8i
